Mini Cupcake Stand – DIY Dollar Crafts

with 15 Comments

As for me, there is no match for creating projects that cost next to nothing to make. One day, while I was reading an article from an online magazine, I found some clever projects that are very creative and I find it very suggestive of me to create a unique version of my own. That’s when I also thought of creating a group in Facebook that I called ‘DIY Dollar Tree Crafts’. It will be my channel for exchanging and sharing projects with my fellow crafters and enthusiasts.

I was so surprise that my members grew so fast and that every day I get so many requests from people who wants to join our group, sharing their projects as well as interacting with each other, and that inspires me a lot to create for more projects.

Today I’m going to share the first project I made. It was a mini cupcake stand because I’ve been looking for a platform to use for display during photoshoot with my cupcake. It’s been very useful as well for taking pictures of my jewelry, accessories and tiny projects at Joyfully Handcrafted shop page in Facebook.

Below is a step-by-step photo tutorial on how to create it.

I started by gluing the terracotta pots on top of each other to form as the base and polish around with Modge Podge. Then sprinkle with gold glitter around as well and leave it for 15 minutes before I sealed it again with another layer of Modge Podge. I also made sure to cover the bottom with more glitter. Finally, I glued the round mirror with the base and there you have it! A quick and easy craft!

There will be more project to post soon, so don’t forget to join our Facebook group DIY Dollar Tree Crafts!

Thanks for reading, and till next time, keep creating!

This is such a nifty little DIY! I’m such a fan of cute, yet easy-to-do crafts. The fact that this is so cheap is a bonus too. 😛

It looks like such a fun project. I am not really good with the modge podge. But I would be willing to try it out with my daughter.
