Are you someone who loves to be outdoors? If so, you might be able to find a way to fit this in with your daily life. There are a huge number of jobs which re carried out entirely or almost entirely outside, and they could be the perfect way for an outdoors lover to really get their fill - all while earning some cash. But perhaps you are stuck, wondering what job exactly you might be able to do? In this post, we are going to take a look at a few of the top jobs which are carried out outside - see if any of these instinctively appeal to you.

Landscaper

If you think you have a knack for working the land, then you might consider a job as a landscaper. As a landscaper, you will be using all the landscapers favorite tools in order to ensure that certain areas of land are well maintained and able to support whatever it is they are there to do. From sod laying to mowing and trimming, even including planting, watering and fertilizing the land and plants, digging whether by hand or by digger, and so on - there is so much that you will be keeping busy with with this kind of work. And all the while, you will be able to enjoy yourself in the great outdoors. This is a perfect role if you want to be outside as much as possible and don’t mind getting a little dirty.

Environmental Scientist

For those with a little more of a detached worldview, and perhaps a little less active, being an environmental scientist might be the better way to go. Environmental scientists identify and fix problems relating to the environment, and a big part of the role includes spending time outdoors in that environment. There will be some time spent in the office, in the lab or study, but mostly you will be outdoors and working towards a healthier planet. This is one job which comes with a real sense of pride and accomplishment, and the satisfaction rate for environmental scientists is pretty high on the whole. If you are happy with a combination of outdoor work and a little paperwork, then this could be the ideal job for you.

Geographer

As a geographer, you will be studying the physical objects of a particular natural space, and how they relate to each other naturally. This role invariably requires a lot of outdoor exploration, and is perfect for those who don’t like to sit still for very long at a time. Depending on your specialisation, you might be studying the weather and climate, or rocks, soil and other natural phenomena. This is also one of the highest paying outdoor jobs out there, so that is definitely a bonus here. As a geographer, you have the chance of perhaps one day making some seriously important discoveries which will change the way we understand the natural world.
